What Is Home?

For me, home isn't just a place you live, Home is where I feel safe and loved. It's a place where someone is always there for you. My home is the place where I feel like I can be myself and do anything. At my home I go down to the river whenever I'm feeling down. I hear the birds sing and see the orange candy coloured fish swim though the light blue water. I smell the cool fresh air and see it flow in the trees. Once I'm back inside I get in a huge cozy blanket, and stay up late while watching a movie. When I wake up in the morning I walk down the old wooden stairs to eat special pancakes that look fluffy like clouds. Afterwards, we go down to the river, and have an early morning swim in cool blue water. The sun is shining all over us, as we splash in the water. We get out of the water and drink some sweet yellow lemonade. Some days we go into town to get creamy ice cream and go out for a delicious lunch. Afterwards we head to the giant park and go swimming at the hot beach. As we swim, we watch the sand sparkle as the sun goes down. We head back home and bake cookies for later and then eat my Nana's warm homemade meals. We eat outside and hear the birds quietly chirp as it gets dark. We go inside to watch a movie as we eat our warm fresh and sweet cookies that we baked earlier today. We head to bed and when my parents say “Goodnight, I love you”, that's when I know I'm home. and that will never change, no matter what.
