Meaning of Home

Have you ever walked into a place and felt safe and warm? Now imagine, you walk into your home and are greeted by your loving dogs, and the house smells like yummy chicken and freshly baked cookies. Home is not just a place, it’s the love we share, it’s the hugs before we get tucked into our cozy beds. Home is a familiar feeling of safety and peace; in between these four walls home is a place where you can be anything. Home is not just brick walls it is a place where you are loved and greeted with kindness. My home is my safe place, it’s also my place of comfort, it gives me the feeling that no other place in the world can. It’s where memories are made, one of my favourite memories is when our dog Gemma had puppies in our home, we could play with them and watch them grow. A very fun memory for me was when we could drive our electric mini jeep in our back yard, another wonderful blessing is my tenth birthday party, I had all my friends and cousins over, we had so much fun playing outside and watching the Madagascar movie, we also made smoothies and we ate ice cream cake. My house may be small but is filled with big hugs and love and laughter. I believe everyone deserves a chance to create memories filled with love and laughter in between four walls filled with love and laughter. I hope that everyone who needs a safe and warm place to create routine and memories, can find that place. Wherever I go home will always be my happy place no matter where I am. Everyone deserves a home.
