Why Home Is Special

My home means everything to me. Home is a special place where you have laughter and family game night or other things. Even when you see your parents just kiss randomly and you just look away giggling. Or even when your siblings drive you crazy. When you look around at the building that you are in, you remember that you're in a house but it's really your home. My home is filled with great memories. If and when you move to a different place you still remember those memories but you gain new memories. What if you're not related to your parents but you're still in that home? Home isn't who you're related to, it's the people who love you and care for you inside of it. Home is also a place where you make memories with your family or friends. I can remember when my sister and I would always play basketball outside in the front yard or when my other sister and I would make banana bread. After school,I would come home and I would smell my mom’s cooking and that was my smell of home. I am so thankful for my school doing the Habitat For Humanity contest. That’s why home is a special place. Remember, you don’t have to be related to your family. It's that you're in that home and you are loved and cared for.
