The Place Where I'm Safe
What does home mean to you? Home to me is a place where I can feel safe, have fun, and get support when I need it. Home is way more than just a building.
First, home is a place where you should feel safe. It should be a place that protects you and shields you. You shouldn’t have to worry at all when you're in your home. For example, when my dog starts barking I know I will be safe from any criminal cause my parents will protect me.
Next, home is a place where you should have fun. You should feel happy and stressed and angry but not in a bad way. For example, I have a lot of fun when I play Exploding Kittens with my family even though I get mad when my dad steals my defuse then I pull a exploding kitten and die.
Finally, home is a place where you should feel supported. Supporting can be like someone talking to you about fun stuff when you're sad or helping you when you're struggling on a test. They shouldn't be bullying you, they should be supporting you. For example, when I got thirteen out of sixteen I felt sad but my mom helped me through it and I felt happy again.
In conclusion, if you put those three elements together you can end up with a pretty good home that you can be happy with and I hope you can get a home like that soon if you don’t have one right now.
