What Home is Like to Me

Home is a place where I feel loved. Home is a place where I feel I belong. Home is a place where I feel comfortable. Home is somewhere I feel encouraged. Home is somewhere I feel peace. Home is a place where I feel protected. Home is a place where I feel supported. There is no better place than home. Home is where I feel warm. Home is where I feel cozy. Home is where I feel brave. Home is where I feel strong. Home is a place where I feel safe. home is a place where I feel grateful. Home is a place where I feel happy. Home is where I feel joy. Home is where I can see my cat every day after school. Home is where I can see my family everyday. Home is where hot meals are ready for me after school. Home is where I can see my siblings every day. I have a home here in Windsor, Ontario. But it’s not my only home. I also have a home in El Salvador where I feel love, joy and happiness. My home in El Salvador is a place where I can see my family that live there. Although I don’t go there as much, it’s always such a special place. A house is made from bricks, and a home is made from love. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving students this opportunity. And thank you for what you are doing.
