Two Homes
Home can mean many things to many different people. For me, it doesn't just mean walls, doors and windows. Home means fun and laughter with family. Home means safety, when you can sit in a room without fear. Home means memories, remembering the best moments and sharing them with others. Home means togetherness and unity with family. But home doesn't have to mean one place. For me it's two places, England and Canada. Canada is my main home because I was born and raised here. I go to school here, spend time with my friends and live my everyday life here. England, even though I only visit once a year, it will always be my home as well. I have most of my family living there and my father was born there. My dad moved between England and Canada and my mom lived in India and moved to Canada 20 years later. My parents got married in England, which makes it even more special. The first time I went to England was on my first birthday and ever since then, England has felt like home. No matter where I am, I will always cherish both homes, enjoy living with family and be grateful that I have a roof over my head.
