Where I'm From

I am from my baby blanket I called “snuggey” From my Coco melon streak and my red toy car. I am from a big house with yelling and fighting And me and my sister fighting for the PS5. I am from the maple tree in my back yard whose strong branchias hold me when I climb. I am from stuffed animals and sippy cups. From Pop and Nane. I am from Christmas dinner and Easter dinner And gathering for birthdays. From a big dinner when my cousins come down. I am from “stranger danger” I am from Oma and Opa. From Lasagna and pizza. From my great grampa making the Hollyburn ski club And the cabin my ancestors built. And when I cracked my head open on a trailer bumper. I am from those moments with my family.
