The Home in My Heart

A home is different than a house. A home is not just a shelter; it is full of memories. It is from the yard to your room and the creepy basement. It all comes together to become a home. All the rooms, moments and memories make a home, let me take you on a journey of what home means to me... The kitchen is where you make homemade recipes with your family, eat dinner, and breakfast. Your bedroom is where you sleep and is a safe place with peace and quiet. The living room is where you smell the food a family member cooks and where you play games, cards and watch TV with friends or family. Now the basement can look scary, but when you turn on the lights and look around, it is not the slightest. The bathroom is where the scent of the air freshener fills the room, while washing your hands or having a steam-filled shower. The yard where you can grow fruits and veggies in the garden and play with your friends and dogs in the sunny summer. I love my home and it is where I grew up and where I keep my memories. If they are funny, silly, or sad, they will always be there. At the end of the day, after a long day of school, hard work, and determination, coming home is the absolute, best, thing, ever! That was the journey of what home means to me.
