Riley’s Meaning Of Home

Riley was bored. She didn’t know what to do. Then, creativity hit! With enthusiasm, she wrote what home meant to her. Home is my bed, Home is where I get fed. Home is more than a couple walls, Home is where you live to be happy, professionally. Home is where you are safe. As she walked to school, she thought more about “Home”. The more she thought, the more she knew. Home isn’t just any place, old, or new. Home’s where the heart is, Home’s where you shed a tear. Home’s the memories, the laughs, and the food. In the middle of class, she thought, Home is safe, home is fear, home is everything, to the whisper in your ear. Home is comfort, home is warm, where you can hide, when there’s a storm. Home is where you make, home is where you bake. Home is where you wake and where you doze. In free period, she wrote a Haiku: Home is where I’m safe Home is where I live and play Home’s where I belong Her friend saw what she was doing, and decided to join in, too! She wrote a little essay, to add in the mix, while another pal joined in, and added a line! Later her class turned it into a project, and everyone was involved. So thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for helping give people a new identity! You do what is right, and help those in need. You are the best, so thank you!
