Home is a loved memory

Some people think home is just a place to live, eat and sleep or maybe a place that could be with fancy furniture. Well I think differently. Home is a memory we hopefully get to stay in our whole life getting to enjoy memories and adventures. Home is like a guardian we never had. Home is a place I feel safe enough to cry let tears flow off my face, homes a place where we enjoy our time and laughter, home isn't a place to decorate or look at and pretend we’re rich and brag. It’s where kids play with their siblings, parents or grandparents, maybe even friends. Your home is a shield to protect you from storms, snow, rain and intense winds. You also sit at a table and smell the sweet aroma of your mom or dads cooking, and the joy of sitting down to talk about your day and laugh. Home is a place like no other. Home is a shared memory between thousands, whether its your roommate, friend or even pets. I am sure you played with a friends or your pet before, you probably ran down the hallways while the pet chased after you. That's a memory that you can talk about forever like "Hey Anniek, remember that one time your dog chased after me?” you’ll have a laugh and dopamine spreads in, same with when you hang out or smell your parent's cooking, YUM! Dopamine also spreads in and leaves a smile on you temporarily. Home is a great place to watch happy or scary movies. Which is why Habitat for Humanity is a great program because it helps people who can't afford homes get a chance! I really hope all of Canadians get a place to call home!
