A Place Where I Belong
The difference between a house and a home is where you live and make memories.
A house is just a building where you live. A home is where you belong. I belong with my brother Jack, my mom and my dad. We cry, laugh, we fight sometimes but we are still family. We belong together in our home.
Home is not about the looks of how pretty it is or how expensive it costs. It means memories, the food, the smells of my brother’s eggs in the morning and the sound of my family playing board games every new years. Home is where I belong and where I live and where I love and care for my family. Home means love, joy and warmth.
What makes my home special is the activities my brother and I participate in. We have so many activities such as dance, karate, swimming and therapy. We have an activity everyday! In our home we practice all of our activities so that we can be better at it each day. The time we put into practising is special because we all have a special talent in my family and that's what makes my home special.
My favourite place in my home is my family room because it's where we watch family movies together and where we play board games and eat snacks too! It's like my fun house and that’s my favourite place in my home.
One moment at home I will always remember is when it was my 9th birthday! When I woke up, my family jumped on me and said Happy Birthday! For breakfast I had my favourite ube mochi pancakes. After school I got to open my gifts and I received a bunny night light, a kawaii stickbook, and my brother gave me a Pompompurin bline box. It was very special to me. My home always makes me feel like I belong.
