H.O.M.E

Home is a special place where you feel safe and cared for. H is for happiness. My home is full of joy, laughter, and smiles I see every day. The joy that I feel while everyone comes together at family gatherings is strong and powerful. So powerful I can’t get rid of it. O is for opened. At home my family is always open about their feelings. If I make a mistake, I will tell my family because there’s no reason that I shouldn’t. If I feel upset about something my sister did, I will always tell her about it. If you’re not open to other people like your family things can get tough, so that’s why being open is so important. M is for memories. My home is full of memories all the way to the brim! Not all memories have the same feelings as others, but mine have very strong feelings. Memories build a family and a home. Memories are good times and bad, but no matter what I know my family is by my side. E is for effort. My family puts a lot of effort into keeping me, my siblings, and my home safe, comfortable, and welcoming to everyone who comes. We all put effort into keeping us happy and healthy. We all work together to stay strong. We are always side by side no matter what! I hope that everyone gets a home to make memories, be happy, and be safe. I am glad that Habitat for Humanity can help everyone in need of a home to be themselves in. Home can be different for everyone, but that is what makes home so special.
