There's no Place Like Home

For me, home has never been just a building. It's never been a place to just be relaxed. Home isn't a structure with decor and warmth placed in a town or country. Home is a feeling. Home is family, love, and memories. My family is what makes home feel like home. Family needs time and patience, my father is my hero. He helps when things are rough or don't go as planned. He is smart, amazing, and loving. My Mom is kind and caring to everyone around. She's taught me many things, but she is one of the most important people in my life since I was born. My Mom is caring,awsome, funny, and loving. My sister can be caring and makes everyone feel welcome. She is joy, laughter, and fun. She has fun with me as we go on adventures. My pets make me feel safe and cozy. They are comforting and soft. Without family, I will never be home. Love is what brings home peace and calm. Love can fix a bad day in the comfort of a safe place. Home becomes a place of fun and giggles with love and care. There is no place like home without love. I receive love with comforting hugs and cuddles, and when my cat purrs loudly beside me. I feel cared for when I receive this love and affection in the comfort of my own home shared with the people I love. Home is love and I will always feel at home with love and care spent with my family. Home is the memories we make along the way. From times of pride and joy, to mistakes and laughs. Memories bring home to life with flowing and fun energy and feelings of love, and nostalgia. Memories of home are from spending time bonding with members of the family, or feelings that are memorable. Home is a building with threads of memories built into the walls and roof. I wrote this essay for the Home for humanity program that helps people who are struggling to find a place to call home. My essay is helping by donating money to help this program help more people in need of a home.
