Home is a Place to Go

If you're feeling lonely, or sad, or even threatened, go to the safest place you call home. When I'm at home I feel so safe and loved. I see my parents and sister, how they love me down to my toes. Home is my happy place, the place I’m at every day. Home is my shelter, where I get food and water. I feel together when I’m with my family. When I step into my kitchen I smell food on the stove or in the oven. My mom is cooking my favorite foods and she makes sure I’m happy. My kitchen is a place to go. In my family room I have my family time. We sit and watch a movie, tell jokes, and play board games. It's where we have happy times, and our family days. My family room is a place to go. My bedroom is my favorite room, where I sleep and have peace. I always feel safe there and I feel like I can be myself. It's where I pray the rosary before I go to sleep. I feel comfort in my room, even though I’m by myself. My bedroom is a place to go.
