Home

Home is a commonly used term but the true meaning of the word is more complicated than people think, and some may think that home means a place to live or just a shelter to live in. But that’s not true. Home is a place of love, comfort, trust and feeling. Home is different from a house. A house is the shell of home. It's like a snail, because a snail has a shell. So home; home is the snail and house is the shell. Home is the life inside of the house and house is the shelter of what lives inside of it. So let's say that you make any type of play house. Yes, you might sleep in it, but it’s not going to be the same as sleeping in the bed in the home that you live in with your loved ones. Picture this, You're all grown up and you move to a place that is far, far away from the home that you grew up in. So when you come for a visit, when you open the door, you will be overwhelmed with many different emotions. You will have the feeling that you're finally home. Yes it might be true that you made another home, but will it be the same as the home you grew up in? So you tell me what does home mean to you? I hope Habitat for Humanity helps make people feel welcome into their new home.
