What Home Makes me Feel

Family : Home starts with a Mom and Dad. They make memories together, laugh and feel safe around each other. When my sister and I came in, there were more memories ever since. We would play board games together, or watch movies when we were done with our work. My family makes me feel safe and comfortable and I always have a great time with them. I LOVE spending time with my family. My dad would help me with math, which he’s really good at. Family is happiness. My Places: My Home Country Ethiopia, is where my parents lived. In East-Africa, Ethiopia is where people dance and enjoy the natural life of Africa. The rain forest and cities they have in Ethiopia are immaculate and their communication is amazing. I went there when I was little and oh my gosh, it was my best vacation ever. They had some unique animals and their food traditions are delicious. Ethiopia makes me think of how Ethiopia is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. We wear traditional dresses with colorful patterns for the girls and for the guys are suits with the same type of colorful patterns, which the artist can sew any type of pattern they want. Calgary is also a place of mine, where I can see my family on our traditional occasions. Whenever it’s our Ethiopian New Year, my family will celebrate it in Calgary and see my grandparents and cousins. We will dance, play board games with my cousins and communicate with my family to catch up when we are not there. I love going to Calgary because it makes me excited to be in the big city and see my family!
