What Home Means To Me

More than a House: The Meaning of Home The meaning of home is more than a house, The meaning is the same to all, Even a mouse. Home is a place where you can do what you want, like bounce a ball. No matter where you live, in a hut, a shed, Home is a place where love lasts, Memories are kept, And dreams in bed. Home doesn’t mean house, we know more than this Home is a place where you are out of harm's way, Where you can find help, day after day, Where you can wander through your mind, in bliss. People say home is where you live, But ‘tis more than where I live Its where I find family, friends, And feel good feelings. Homes are important Everyone should have one. We could lead a chant To get people home. ‘Tis it fair that the rich get a mansion, Just because they are successful in life? The rich get a house, the poor get none. Where do the poor go to live and thrive? Some poor people are disabled Some didn’t get education You get good food, They get none You might not care, no But someday you will. What if you were poor because you didn’t know And not afford warmth from the chill?
