Home vs House

There is a difference between a house and a home. A house is a structure made of wood, bricks, cement, and paint, something you can replace. But, a home is not one specific place, it is not somewhere. Rather, it can be people. A home is not a home without the people you love. I think that home is a feeling; it is somewhere you feel you belong. A house is still a house with nobody in it, but a home is the people. At school, you can feel at home, you can feel at home when you are with your friends or those you love. A house means nothing without a loving family to make it somewhat a home. For example, when you are with someone you love, you can say, “When I am with you, I feel at home.” School can be your home away from your house, like most homes. So when you are with the people you love, you are at home, not in a house. All in all, a home is a feeling, and a house is a building.
