What Home Means To Me

What Home Means To Me What home means to me is not just a pile of bricks or metal. What you need in a home are the people you love to share and fill it with. I always feel safe and comfort in my home. I know that nothing can hurt me or my family. When I walk into a room, i immediately feel happy emotions and positive vibes. I love when I come home from school, open the door and see my dog sprint from the kitchen to see me, pounce on me, and try to kiss me. As soon as I come in I feel showered with love. My favourite thing I remember in my old house was to snuggle up close to the fire with my loved ones. A great thing about a house is that it can be anything, a small apartment, a room or a farmhouse. As long as it is shared with people you love, it is a home. When I’m snuggling with my dog in front of the TV, it’s home to me. When I'm having snowball fights in our backyard, it’s home to me. When we are telling stories to each other when the power is out, it’s home to me. When I feel the soft, furry materials of blankets hugging me, it’s home to me. When my little brother and sister and I invent games or have dance parties in our basement, it’s home to me. When I curl up on our couch watching sports games with my dad, it’s home to me. I think that everybody deserves a home. And i will do anything to help the peoples without one!
