What home means to me
Home is my happy place, whether it's messy and un-tidy or clean and organized. But if I had to choose, I would choose it would be the messy one. I'd want a house with messy characteristics like a dent in the floor or a curry stain on a wall, sure it's not my dream home but it adds cozy and comfy characteristics. A clean and organized home is more like a house than a home to me. If I remove everything that made my house wonky or un-perfect it would look very different and maybe not so homey. For me a home is a cozy place you're comfortable in. Home is not just about looks, home is a truthful and trustful environment where you're accepted no matter what. Home is supposed to let you make better decisions.A perfect example for this is when you're down, your sad home is supposed to wrap you around in a hug that feels like a cozy warm blanket. Home is supposed to have people who care about you and make you laugh out loud. A home is filled with people trying to give you the best life possible. Home is something I am forever grateful for because of the love, the food, my bed I could go on and on. I want kids who don't have homes to know what it feels like to have a home of your own and that's why I want to thank Habitat for humanity for helping others with their lives and giving them a home to live in.
