The Meaning of Home
Home is not just a place to live in, home is a place to take refuge in, a place to love, a place to feel safe. My home is the only place in the world where I can truly be myself. At home, I don’t need to hide my uniqueness, or pretend to be someone I’m not, especially when I am surrounded by the people who love me most, family. There will never be any place like my home, because at my home, I eat, play, sleep, and live. Me and my family gather here, laugh here, and we love one another when we are in the warmth of our home. Everyone's home is different, but we all know that our homes fit perfectly for us, whether we grew up in our home, or we are new to it, we will always love and be grateful for what we have when others are much less fortunate. I want to thank Habitat for Humanity for giving those who do not have a home, a place to love and live in. This is by far the kindest thing to possibly do, to give someone who has so little, so much. I would love to do that one day, to change the lives of many, not expecting anything in return. This is the best thing someone with time, money and happiness can do for the community. This is why I think that home is not just a building, or a foundation, four walls and a roof, because home may just be all you need to be truly happy.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity.
