What a Home Means to Me

A home is a place where you feel safe and loved, where you feel important and valued. A place where you get tucked into your warm bed on cold winter nights. Where you get a glass of fresh lemonade on the hottest summer days. Where you play in your backyard when the leaves are falling to the floor. Home is where you bake sweets for you family and friends and the kitchen fills with a sweet aroma that quickly travels through the house. Where you hang out with your friends and siblings in your room and jump on your soft bed. The dining room table is where you enjoy friends and family. A home is where you celebrate all of your birthdays with people who love and care about you. This is what home means to me, but not everyone has a great home like this and that's what Habitat for Humanity is here to help everyone get a safe and amazing home.
