What is the Difference Between a House and a Home?

A house is a building with windows and doors, But a home is different, It is just so much more. A home is a place that is always your own, A place that is calming, where you’re never alone. A house has rooms and perhaps a chair, A home is a place where true memories are shared, Some enjoy their home in the cold mountain tops, While others live on farms and care for the crops. It does not matter where I roam, I will always return home. A home is a place where we can have fun, It’s place where we come undone. Home is where I will always rest, While in a house, you're just a guest. In your home, even when gone, You feel you family’s presence, It’s just a simple meaning, What your feeling, is your family’s essence. Home is a delicate braid sewn, That is not just a house, it’s a home! And there is a big difference, Home is where we always share, One another’s interests. My mom, dad, and brothers, I couldn’t imagine any others… And that’s why everyone should have a home, It doesn’t matter the colour, shape, or structure, Home is a place where, always, We can share our culture, And now, so many others can live with their family, Happily, And we owe it all… To Habitat for Humanity!
