A Home Is More Than Just A House
A home is not just a house, it can be a lot more like somewhere to go when you're sad, hungry or lonely. When I wake up I hear my alarm and then I get up and I hear my cat purring on the couch and then I know that it's going to be a good day. After I'm ready for school, I walk outside and look back and see a caring, cozy house. I come home from school and I see the roasting fire, then, I can taste the fresh muffins out of the oven. I can see my dad making French toast for dinner as a treat. I take an apple out of the fringe, a big red one too, and then sit on a warm blanket and I can feel the rug on my toes. I get up and go to my bedroom. I feel the handle to the door and then I touch my fluffy pillow on my bed, I stay there for a bit and before I know it's time for dinner touch my fork and knife. After dinner, I do my homework and feel the soft keyboard on my finger's and after I finish my homework I go to bed.
That is what home means to me.
