Home

Home makes me feel safe. My brother makes me feel safe because he is caring. Home makes me feel safe because it is warm. Mom makes me feel safe. My dog makes me feel safe when I cuddle with her. Mom’s caring words make me feel safe. Reading books with Oma makes me feel safe. Grandma’s cuddles make me feel safe. Oma’s house makes me feel safe. My home is like a baby polar bear snuggling into its mother’s soft fur. I’m comparing my home to my dog, Morley’s home. Shelter is the same for the both of us. Food, dog food for Morley, and groceries for us. Family, we both have a mom and a dad, but our dog has three brothers, and I only have one. But, we are both the only girls. Feelings, safe for the both of us, but Morley is scared of the vacuum. Homes are important because they keep families safe. Like from big storms and blizzards and lots of other weather. If everyone had a home, then nobody would get cold and they would have shelter. It would be a very happy place to be. Then everyone would be happy. They would feel safe and they could cuddle up on the couch and they could stay safe.
