The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home is different for everyone, but for me it means family. It doesn’t matter how it looks, how it sounds, or how it smells. Home may be messy, loud, and chaotic. But overall that, I think family is what makes a home a home. Whenever I think of home I think of my dog greeting me at my door, my mom saying “ hello “ , and my safe place. You may think of something different. Maybe, your kids greeting you at the door or maybe just that breath of relief after working a long shift or day at working a long shift. Home could be your apartment, house, condo, hotel room, and so much more. Home is a universal feeling. And by that I mean we all feel it but we all have different definitions of it. You might feel at home watching the sports game, cooking, or grocery shopping. But, for me I feel at home when I'm with friends, family, and dancing. In conclusion, home is a place or feeling I believe anybody can feel and should have. And so the meaning of home is a valued feeling or place anyone can have.
