The Meaning of Home

For some people, the meaning of home is different; for some it's their family, for others their video game consoles, but for me it's so much more than that. That's why I'm going to explain what home means to me. For me, home is where you live with your family, where you feel warmth, where you tell jokes, laugh, and so on. Whether you're an adult, a teenager, or a child, it's a very important place in your heart. If you're a child or teenager, it's where you grow, where you learn to mature little by little until you become an adult. And when you're an adult, it's the place where you live with your partner and have your children, and so the cycle repeats with your children. Sometimes they might scold you, but that's not a bad thing; it's because they want you to become the best version of yourself in the future. It's the place where you do the things you love. For example, I like to play the guitar or the charango, or for some, it's playing video games or spending time with family. It's where unforgettable memories are created. It doesn't matter if you move house, city, or even country; If you live with your loved ones, that's your home. In short, your home isn't just the roof, the walls, or the floor. Your home is where you feel warmth, where you do what you love, where you're with your family, where you grow, where you learn to be an adult, where you're guided to be a better person, and where your loved ones are. I say this as someone who was born in Colombia but whose home is in Canada.
