That's what home feels like to me

Purr, purr, purr. Soft, gentle music playing, warmth against your skin, and a never-ending book. That's what home feels like to me. I have many emotions related to my home. Some of them are comfort, relaxation, love, family and support. Home to me means I know I have someone who will always be there no matter what. Sometimes even doing activities makes me feel at home, like figure skating, crafting and listening to music. To me, home has a sense of belonging. If you are somewhere where you don’t feel like you belong, it probably does not feel like home at all. I feel at home in many places, even maybe a different country! I feel at home at the beach, at concerts and on trips, but maybe I feel at home in all those places because I have my family with me, and my family is the biggest part of my home. I feel bad that unhoused people don’t have a house, but I think every unhoused person has a home. Whether it’s with their family or maybe even just a pet, I feel like everyone has a home if they have someone or something to love. I am moving in a couple months and it's only going to be twenty minutes from where I live now. I’ll still go to the same school, and everything will be pretty much the same, but I still think it might take me some time to feel comfortable there. I do think I would adapt very quickly and adjust to a new place, but I just think it would feel a little different at first.
