What does home mean to you?

Most people have a home, or a place you call home, a place you feel comfortable, a place you feel safe. To me the word “ Home “ means a place I can calm down, I have 2 homes. My moms house and my dads house. I feel more safe at my dad’s house, but at my mom’s house I feel more free and comfortable. My dad hasn’t moved house but my mom has twice, I miss our old house but I like where I am now. It’s not some big extravagant mansion, but it's comfy and I'm fine with that. If i could move into a bigger house for sure but im grateful for what i have. I feel more calm at my mom’s house because there's less people. It’s me, my mom and my grandpa. At my dad’s it’s me, my grandma,grandpa,dad and my uncle. My siblings don’t live with me, I wish they did. My friends love hanging out at my house and my mom doesn’t mind because she loves my friends. Home is a place I can calm down and zone out. Whenever I get home I love to call my friends. Whether it’s samia, kaira , rameen or ally. It just feels better calling them when I'm safe in my house. Another place I'd call home would be my sister’s house or my brother’s house. I love coming home after school because in my opinion school is so stressful and when I get home I can just relax. I’m grateful because some people don’t have homes and they don’t have a warm place to sleep, a place to feel safe and i feel like everyone should have that.
