House vs. Home

Is there somewhere that you feel safe and special? Well, for me that's home. Houses are made of bricks and my home is made of love and family memories. At home I feel so safe, and it’s because of my family. I'm so lucky that I have a family that cares about me. When I look back at the memories we've made, most of them are filled with laughter and silliness. Every Friday we have family movie nights, and that's where most of the laughter and silliness comes from. Home also means having friends come over to my house to play. On a daily basis, it looks like, knocking on each other's doors asking to play with one another. I love my pets Jack and Daisy. Jack is my dog, and Daisy is my cat, and I love snuggling with them! They’re great snugglers. However, I’m not allowed to sleep with them. Jack is fine sleeping in my room but my parents say otherwise. On the other hand Daisy looks so innocent until she gets up and screams! I still love her a lot though. Hugs. Hugs are powerful. When I get a hug at school or anywhere, it makes me feel like I’m at home. Sometimes things are scary, but my family will never let me get too scared or hurt. My family is the best family ever, home is the safest, calmest, and just the best. Home is a place where I can feel safe, loved and have clean food and water.
