What I call home

I call my home familiar I call my home safe I call my home what it means to me That’s just what I call home Home makes me feel comfort I can always come to it I call my home family That's just what I call home In the kitchen - where we eat, just me and my parents. We play board games and make memories! So that's what I call home In the living room, we sit and talk, With our pictures on the walls, And the fireplace- which my dad can’t turn on- That’s what I call home Then the TV room, the cabinet in front of me Waiting for breakfast, a sandwich sitting on its plate That’s what I call home And then my bedroom, more than where I sleep, More than a closet holding clothes, it makes memories And feelings- it’s home! Because home is more than floors and walls It brings happiness, because it makes home- And that’s what I call home.
