The Meaning of Home

Home is not just a place to sleep, eat or stay; home is a place where you feel loved and comfortable. Home is also a place where you spend time with family and friends and people you love. I love it when my mom makes her oatmeal cookies at movie nights and parties. I feel my dog snuggling against me when I’m resting on the couch at night. When I go to sleep at night, I feel comfortable and safe. The meaning of home to me is the people who make me feel loved and happy. One of the things that make my home a home is listening to music with my sister. I love everyone in my house who makes my home a home, like my sister, my mom, my dad and even my dog! Something that helps me fall asleep at night is my dad playing his guitar for me and my sister. I love my home and my family so much! I thank Habitat for Humanity for helping people to have homes and shelter. People need a home because they can be warm when it is cold outside, and they can have air conditioning when it’s hot. It matters because it is a place where you feel loved and appreciated. I also thank my teacher for helping me during school.
