This is Home

A house is made with things like bricks and stone, With many walls but they stand alone. With a roof, a door, a place to put the key, But that’s literally all for you to see. Any house down the street, tall or wide, They all have rooms hidden inside. A bed you wish you had to lay on as soft as buttercream, But still it doesn’t really feel like a dream. A home is a place where you can flash a smile, All after watching movies for a while. Laughter shouting down the hall, A home is a thing that belongs to us all. Your family gives you brightness and shelter like a crystal dome, No wonder why they call it “Home Sweet Home”. A space to think, laugh, talk, and sing, Home is like a garden in the awakening spring. A house might be one of the things you own, Yet without a home, it feels unknown. No great design can just stand there alone, On lifeless walls of wood and stone. We build each room with thought and skill, But life is what makes a home fulfill. A house is made by human hands, Yet, a home crafted with love and life still stands.
