What Home means to me

Do you know what the difference between a house and a home is? A house is just a structure, a home is a place you feel loved and safe. To me home means where you feel safe and loved like a judgement free zone. You can be your wild and crazy self and feel no judgment. The three most important things about home to me are my family, happy memories, and feeling safe. First, my home wouldn't be my home without my family. My family makes me feel loved and being loved is a great thing to feel, it's what gets me through the day. Even just a hug from my mom when I feel down makes me feel so much love. I could keep going about stuff that feels like home. That is a great thing to have, I am so grateful. The next important thing is happy memories. Memories are a reminder of fun little experiences that bring you joy. Memories could appear to you in pictures, maybe you see something that reminds you of a happy memory, or maybe just in your brain. My family went to Holland and Paris for my mom’s 40th birthday and we have pictures all around the house. Every time I see a picture (which is all the time) I think of what a great time we had. Finally, my home is important to me because it's a safe place. If I have a bad day I go home and feel at peace. I’m also accepted for who I am, it's a judgement free zone. As you can see, home is so important to me. I think everybody deserves to have a home where they feel safe and loved.
