What Home Means to Me

Do you know the difference between a house and a home? A house is a building with walls, a roof, a couch, chairs, and some decor. You might think a home is a house and it's all the same thing; But it’s not because a home is way more than a house. A home is in your heart. It is always going to be with you; Your home is the thing you love the most. It is feeling the warmth of your family as you hold them close to your heart and your home is full of family, safety, and memories. First of all, the feeling of your family is different from when you're with another family. When you're with another family you probably don't feel comfortable either sitting on their couch while eating popcorn with them and getting all close together. But with your family you feel the comfort of sharing the same blanket. The part that makes my home, home is my family. If I didn't have them my home would be incomplete. They have so much love and we are all not perfect but to our eyes we are perfect for each other. We as a family have no limits of how we can be. We will love each other forever. Next, the safety I feel when my family hugs me is a nice comforting feeling. When I am with my family I feel good. I feel like I can express my feelings to them without any judgment. I feel safe with them and I can count on them anytime. For example, my dad and I pray at night before we go to bed and when we do that I feel comfortable before I fall asleep. I don't have to worry about anything. Finally, your memories of home can be with you forever or in a picture. Sometimes you can picture them in your head. Either way they are memories that brought you joy or sadness or love. You can have a memory of when you were with your parents somewhere special or a place you love. Or maybe you can still feel the breeze of the nice autumn wind in your hair next to your family with the warmest feeling without any blanket or fire, because memories can be with you forever and ever.
