What Home Means To Me
Home isn’t just a roof over your head. It’s also about the feelings that you experience when you’re there which is a bigger part than just a roof and the walls that surround you. For me, home is a special place, a place where I feel safe and happy, and comfortable.
Home isn’t just a roof over our head and walls around you. Iit’s about the feelings you have when you’re there. It's about the fun you have there, like for me, playing soccer in the backyard, seeing the sun and watching TV .
It’s also fun to look outside and see the animals in the backyard or on the sidewalk like cats, dogs, rabbits, and squirrels. I like tracking their footprints in the winter and nature is a big part around my home that entertains me.
Home is different from a house - like the people there for you. They are there to give hugs, have someone to talk to and a place to be happy. Also home might not just be the place you live, it can be where you go to be with other family members like going to India to see an aunt, cousin and grandmother. I felt happy there seeing more nature like palm trees and animals, like a goat and a chicken and some stray cats and dogs. Some of these sights I don’t see in my home in Canada.
To me home isn’t just a building, it’s the place you feel comfort and when you feel down, you get cheered up. Home is all about the feelings and the comfort of being with family and other family members.
