The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home for me is safety. The thing that makes home what it is to me is that I am safe, comfortable, and near the people who love me. Home is not just a place with the people who I trust, but it is those people who are my home. My sister, my parents, and even my dog mean the world to me. I live in a house, but my home is those who are most special to me out of anything I know. Even my books, my toys, my things are my home. My home is what makes me who I am. I could not imagine what life would be like without my home, the thing that is extremely important to me. It makes me sad that so many people do not have that. It is so great that Habitat for humanity is helping people have homes, both a physical place to live and the things that make a home in spirit.
