A Home

Home is where I feel the warmth and welcomeness of my family greeting me and asking how my day was at school every day. I feel the hugs of my family, the comfort and safety of knowing they’re here with me, protecting me. When I’m home I'm in my bed with the snug feeling of resting and being under my puffy blanket plus being cushioned by my soft mattress is cozy. On weekends I sleep in and never want to leave my cozy bed. On weekdays my family wakes me up with a heartfelt breakfast to power myself for the day ahead. I taste the same delicious home cooking of my dad with the amazing addition of love being mixed in. I eat with my loving family, we have conversations and we spread love between us. In the evening my family and I sit together in our living room and have conversations on interesting topics while my brother practices his piano and I hear the soothing sound of classical music being played to perfection. In my room there is peace and quiet. I'm able to read or do homework without any disturbances or I can just have some alone time when I need it. I can play games with my brother while my parents work and when they don’t work we can spend time together as a family, we can play board games or just relax to our heart’s content. Home is a safe place from anything, when the thunder comes or a scary incident is reported, I know I’m safe right where and when my family is there, I know I’m safe at home. Home is where I can be my favorite self. Home is the perfect place. Home is much more than just a house.
