The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home to me is like a safe place, a loving and comfy place, warm and welcoming place, a special place to go to when you feel down, and a happy, loving, sweet family/guardians to love you so very much. Something that reminds me of home is my teddy bear from kindergarten because it's been around for a while and it is super special to me. I see my family around the fire while I hold my bear in my arms, I feel the crochet texture it has to it, I smell the scent of childhood, I taste having hot chocolate and marshmallows while having my bear in my hands, and I hear my childhood laughs echoing through my head when I pick up my bear. The emotion I have when I think it about my bear is happy. Home is somewhere where I feel like I belong and somewhere where I won't be judged and that makes it so easy for it to be a home and rather not just a 'house'. I think that home could also be many other things like maybe you feel safe with friends and you call them your home, that’s why I called it a safe place and where I won't get judged. When you feel down or sad or even depressed you can always go to your place that feels like a home to you, whether it's your friends, family, or siblings.
