The Meaning of Home

To me, the meaning of home means childhood. Childhood as in running around the house in a pink sparkly dress and even dancing on the living room table Finding out I was going to be a big sister to getting my first pet. And getting hot chocolate on a cold winter day. Love, family, and friends are also the meaning of home, love as in loving those that care for you, family as in they don’t have to be by blood to love each other, and friends as in laughing, playing tag and having fun with the people That you care about, and they care about you. Those are the things that really matter, and really make you think about what home means to you. I smell cheesy lasagna and a warm vanilla candle. I hear my family laughing with joy. I feel my mom's warm hands hugging me, picking me up, and spinning me around. I taste the yummy cheese cake my grandma makes. I see me and my family having fun at a beach at 4 pm watching the sunset in the cold water. Those are the core memories of childhood, and what made a house my home.
