My Feeling of Home

Home, a special place, holds a significant meaning to me. Home is a place where I can be myself, a place where many emotions are held deep inside and is my lair filled with comfort and love. My home is filled with traditional dance and music. I hear funny jokes, humorous movies, soft laughter and music. In my home, I smell ripe mangoes, my mother’s aromatic foods and gentle cherry blossoms. I can see cherry blossoms and hibiscuses growing and my family is filled with love, surrounding me. I taste “Death by Chocolate” ice cream from Corner House, home cooked meals, savoury dishes(chaats), Thallapakatti biriyani and mangoes. I feel delicate flowers, fluffy clouds and my pocket hugs. Colours that remind me of home are blue, pink, purple, green, black, white and light brown. Blue reminds me of the sky and sea, a memory of living near the beach, light brown reminds me of a boardwalk, a memory of me walking on the boardwalk on the beach, purple, because it is my favourite colour and pink reminds me of cherry blossoms that are near my home and is the first thing that grew my curiosity of flowers. I chose green because it reminds me of the times I grew up near nature and white reminds me of the fluffy, stormy clouds that are found a lot from where I grew up most of my childhood. I love my adventures that can be found in my home. My home reflects the best and worst versions or sides of me and shows my ups and downs. Home is a feeling that everyone should have.
