What Home Feels Like To Me

Home is more than a building. Home is filled with good memories and my safe place. I feel loved and I feel myself. I don't need to be embarrassed in my home. It's beautiful and unique like me. My parents help me with my homework when I am stuck on a hard question. At night, my Nana listens to me read and my sister always supports me in every good choice and thing I make and do. One time, I remember making a gingerbread house with my cousins and my sister. I made a small gingerbread house and it broke. I was a little sad but then my little sister gave me hers! My sister is really nice and would do anything for me. We love to swim in my backyard pool in the summertime. I love to jump in my pool and roll around in the cold sprinkler to cool down. I like to ride my bike sometimes too. I am not very good but I still have fun and try my best. My sister is very good at it and enjoys it too. One time, I saw a homeless person by a store and I felt bad and then I remembered how lucky I was to have the wonderful home I do now. I think everyone should have a home. I love my home and I'm especially thankful to have a great family who are kind. It doesn’t matter that I don't have a really big home. What does home feel like to you?
