What Home Means to Me

Home isn't just a house, it's a place of peace, comfort, love and family. Everybody deserves a place to make memories because memories should be everywhere! From your good times to bad ones, to the scary ones. They are all there. To me, home is my sanctuary, a quiet shelter to protect me from those mean words. A home is a place to take a pause and just recharge. There's nothing more comfortable than walking through my front door after a long day to relax with my mum and dad and talk about our feelings. The walls hold so many memories of laughter, love and growth.The memories we build and the stories we share are always with us in our loving home, I can never forget that I'm not alone when I am home. Making memories is one of the most important things I hold inside me. When I go home I feel safe, loved and cared for. Sometimes I feel scared and have hard times but when I'm home I know that I'm safe. When I'm home I know I can be anybody I want to be without judgement .When I'm home, I know that I can express those feelings all jiggled and joggled all in my head. When I am at home, I don't just feel safe, but loved and like I belong! I believe that everybody deserves a home and a place to be themselves and feel those big feelings. I am one of those soft gentle people who needs a safe place to live and share my feelings. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for donating money to make those homes happen and those big beginnings start.
