Where I Belong

I always wonder how I would live if I didn’t have a place to ground me or a home. I love my home, not just because I live there or because I’ve gotten used to it. Not at all. I adore it for so much more than that. Home is not just walls or a temporary place to stay. It’s where I belong, where I reside. Home is curling up on the couch, fading away with adventures in a book. It’s when I savour my mom’s makings, like delicious curry or kheer. It’s celebrating the things I have and the festivals I cherish. Diwali, Janmashtami, Holi, all my cultural festivities. It’s where I learn my name without being told. Every corner, every wall teaches me courage and resilience. Home teaches me the importance of caring, appreciating what I have, and always doing my best. Without it, I am nothing. All the moments shape me. Home gives me strength, comfort, sense, life. Home is where I grow, succeed, cry, and belong.
