What My Home Is To Me

To me home isn't just a building, to me my home is a place where I can be happy, relieved, mad, sad and so many more emotions. I have so many memories, both good and bad, but I value all of them. At home I never thought that I needed more room. I’ve always loved my home the way it is (even if it is a bit messy). I never cared when people called my home big or small because for me it is the right size to fit inside my heart. I never wake up and think, “I need a new place to live,” because I love my home and I always have. If I were to hear that I might have to move, I would cry in my pillow and hope that we won’t. Sometimes I wake up to the song of spring birds or the sound of winter winds. Sometimes when I wake up at night, I can hear the sound of my hedgehog Coco running. In the afternoon, I will sometimes go straight home to play with my fish. I love it when me and my family are all at the dinner table eating and talking together. I am thankful to have food, water and a roof above my head. I trust that Habitat for Humanity is trying hard to give homes to the people that need them.
