A Home of Freedom (Inspired by “Where I’m From” by George Ella Lyon)

I am from the place where the grass moves with the wind, and the sky is clear and blue. I am from the place where I can run all day, feel wind in my face, and the soil beneath my feet. I am from the place where I can lay, calm and secure, beneath a single oak tree, its branches thick and leafy. I am from the place where the birds and bees fly, with sunlight and warmth, and perhaps a small stream. I am from a place of confidence, energy, and freedom. And though I was not born there, and I am not technically from there, That is the place that I call home.
