What Home Means To Me

When I see my beloved sister, All my worries fade away. Being with her makes me feel safe, Happy and loved each day. No one dares to yell at her, she is loved by everyone. But the love she feels the most, Comes from her caretaker-of course, that’s me! When I brush her long lushes strands of hair, It floats gently through the air. After her long relaxing shower, Her sweet perfume fills the room with flowers. When I eat my delicious dinner at night, It sometimes feels dull and not right. But when I sit with her nearby, All meals feel just right. When we play together, The world feels light as a feather. I tickle her and tell her jokes, And laughter fills the room with happy strokes. Do not mistake her for a little monkey, Though she may act funky. She is my sister, my special one, She makes each day feel full of fun. Home isn’t just a place you see, It’s the people who make life cozy. For me, that person is my sister, And that is what home means to me.
