Being thankful for a roof above my head

Whenever I come back home, I feel happy and relaxed because I get to see my wonderful and loving family. Home is a place where I am always thankful for a home because I have a roof above my head, I have windows to keep me warm in winter and to open and close in summer for fresh air, and I have doors to keep me safe and secure. I am glad we have a dining room to gather our whole family and have a delicious dinner for the night and a wonderful breakfast in the morning. One of the things I am most thankful for is that we get clean and filtered water everyday because there are a lot of people that have to suffer through not getting clean water and have to walk kilometers to just get filtered water. Another thing that I am thankful for is my bedroom because I have a desk to work in peace. I have a closet where I could keep my clothes organized. I also have a bookcase where I could put all of my amazing books. The most important of all is my bed where I could sleep with a mindful brain and snore at night. It is really wonderful to have a living room where I could play board games with my family. Watch movies and eat popcorn while I am tucked inside my blanket. I am glad to have a kitchen where my mom can cook for our whole family and make delicious pancakes for me and my brother with whipped cream on the top. My mom also makes different types of meals such as scrambled eggs, cake, cupcakes, and pastries. I was, I am, and I will always be thankful.
