Home Isn't Just a Place

Home isn’t just a place By Caleb king Home isn’t a place, it's where you live. It’s the place where you belong. You get treated with respect and dignity. It isn’t just a comfort zone, it’s your safe zone. When you think about it it’s an indestructible fortress with a sturdy roof. A family is always waiting home for me to comfort me and help me through my tough challenges. I have a dog and cat to cuddle with. My pets aren't just any pets, they're the best pets. I also have some warm cozy blankets that cover me at night. When I come home it’s like I see a scent coming from the kitchen. My favorite foods my dad cooks are shrimp and moose. I have a lot of memories such as Christmas 2025 when I got the gift I wanted and when I had my sister's bread she made with a little bit of my nans help. Nan and pops are like secondary parents; they take us shopping and cook our favorite dishes. I have tons of friends I play with after school. Every day feels like a new page in my life. Every month feels like a new chapter in my life. Every year feels like a new book has started. Home isn’t a place, it's where your family is.
