Meaning of Home

My home is a loving and warm place. Being surrounded by my loving family, I feel very encouraged and safe because of my family. A home is not just about its structure. A home is what feelings are inside the house. Feelings that are in my home are love, kindness, and a family who love each other. When I smell curry chicken, it reminds me of when I was five years old. It was a beautiful dish from my grandmother. The dish from my grandmother was originally from a country called Guyana it is in the Caribbean ocean. Home is not just a place; it is a blessing for me and could be for other people. Home is also food as it can give memories of childhood and life. And my home reminds me of my sister too because I hear her painting something on paper or making some buildings with these blocks like I did when I was a kid just like me. My sister was a wonderful person and brought so much happiness, love, and kindness to me. My family is incredibly supportive to me and loving. And like today, February 11, 2026, I did my land acknowledge on morning announcement; and I told my mom and she kept encouraging me to do my best. So, I tried my best. My family will always do their best and try to help me with anything. Home to me feels like a place where I am loved a cared for and where I belong. A house and home are quite different, have deep meanings, and are just like a wall, a roof that can shelter me from rain and natural disasters. A home is a warm, safe, and comfortable place, and a house is the structure which keeps a roof over my head to keep me secure and safe. That is all about the meaning of home and the meaning of a house, too.
